Caves Santa Marta

The Santa Marta de Penaguião cooperative, known as Caves Santa Marta, was founded in 1959 and has six decades of history in the heart of the Douro. In 1998 it became the first cooperative to declare a vintage — the Porto Vintage 1998 — and in 2001 it was named best winery. It stands on Rua dos Combatentes in Santa Marta de Penaguião, in the Baixo Corgo, a few kilometres from Régua.
